MEET ANTHONY

My Story
My fitness journey started the summer after I graduated high school. I was overweight and living the stereotypical stoner kid lifestyle. That summer, my younger brother introduced me to a martial art called Chinese Wushu taught by Wu Bin. He coached Jet Li, Jackie Chan, and China’s national Wushu team. Also, this was the same summer the movies The Matrix and Rush Hour were released. After experiencing martial arts in person and on the silver screen, a lightning bolt of passion shot through me. I began training in Tae Kwon Do immediately.

My training has been extensive and unique. I have a Black Belt, trained with Wu Bin alongside the national Chinese Wushu team, and studied Adult Fitness & Exercise Science. I have also trained in several other movement practices including Cycling/Spin, Yoga, Western Boxing, Tai Chi, Gymnastics, Animal Flow, and several styles of dance.

My personal fitness journey is unique too. In addition to being a Colorado state champion martial arts competitor, I have completed various runs including 3 Marathons (Austin, San Diego, and Chicago), several triathlons, a half ironman, countless 10K, 5K, and adventure/mud runs. Fitness changed my life, and I hope to be able to be a catalyst for others.

My business has taken multiple forms as well. As a personal trainer, I have helped four people lose over 100 lbs, ten people lose 60 lbs or more, at least a dozen people lose more than 30 lbs, and several dozen more lose anywhere from 10-25 lbs. As a previous Fitness Studio owner for 7 years I helped countless brides prepare for their weddings through our Bridal Bootcamp, I created several unique group class concepts including Fighting Fit (a kickboxing group circuit class), Mud Camp (an obstacle/adventure race training class) and Titanium Tone (a weight lifting circuit style class).

My role as a trainer is to help all of my clients utilize this vessel of life we call a body to its greatest potential, for as long as possible. This is why I start every workout with this statement,

“How are you feeling today?”
